Too many thoughts, somewhere or the other
Trying hard to focus, there is agitation
Not able to figure out things, there is frustration
A question that arises is what am I doing with my life?
I am sure that all of you would have sometime or the other got this thought that “what am I doing with my life.” Actually what we want with our lives from a small child to an elderly person are happiness and satisfaction.
But the human mind is such a powerful tool that it doesn’t like the idea of stability. It has the habit of wanting a change very frequently. Even after the change has been attained it further wants more change. Giving you an example: - No matter how many clothes you have in your cupboard they always seem less for you because at the back of your “mind the heart and mind want more”. You have limited your thoughts and energy to wanting everything but satisfaction lies nowhere.
Similar is the case in your life. You are so confused regarding your decisions that they make you unstable many a times. You go to your school, office, without any enthusiasm, empowerment, and liveliness. You feel dull, don’t like the same routine and are doing things for the sake of doing them.
But friends we cannot keep this spirit and lead the rest of our lives. This article is written to move you from “darkness to light.” In life motivation and inspiration are always needed to become better day by day.
The reason behind the things you do?
First of all, you need to think about why you are doing various things in life. Your hobbies, career, family life and personality development are to be figured out by you. Why are these aspects important for you, how do they affect you? You really need to think. “For example pursuing your hobbies will give you happiness and motivate you further. Choosing a career against your wish will give you stress and frustration and block your path of success and growth.”
Where to pay attention?
You need to focus your mind. When you focus in the right direction you will feel contented, satisfied and happy. But focusing in the wrong direction will always make you unhappy and regret the decisions you make. For example:- As a student, if I get good marks in my exams but instead my focus shifts to my friend who has attained more marks than me on writing the same answers the situation changes from being happy to miserable. So a wrong focus leads to wrong thoughts. “You have the power to make your thoughts so do it in a better way.”
Recognizing the things you want
The need is to explore more and more options. Open the doors of your mind and let in the air of options so that you can know what exactly you need. You are not satisfied with the career you choose, find a better option. You want to eat ice cream at the moment, go ahead. Just take care of what keeps you at peace.
Time to take action
Once you are aware of what to do you should start taking action. The things you have to do will be in front of you, the confusions will no more be present now. You will progress further with new confidence.
Decide your priorities
You need to decide what are your priorities in life and at what is the need of the hour. You can do this by making a list of the things according to your priorities. Give time to your work, social setup, but along with it give time to your family, parents, relatives, friends and your hobbies. When you will balance your work and family your life will be well aligned and chances of confusion will be reduced.
